Hey cultured gamers!

The latest update is here.

We've wanted to have an overworld for a while, and we've finally put something together for this update. There's most likely going to be drastic changes to the overworld with every update as new locations are added, so that's why it's a little undercooked looking.

As for dialogue and decisions, they've felt a bit arbitrary up until this point, and it wasn't so much of a big deal because there haven't been any real consequences or decisions to be made yet, which will change in future updates.

But for now we want to lay the groundwork and have a better system that's more intuitive to the player when it comes to knowing which decisions they should be making to progress the route they wish to progress.

So taking inspiration from bioware games, we're shifting to a dialogue wheel instead of just a list of options so the player can expect choices to remain in certain spots on the wheel if they're only interested in going down a particular path, as well as leaving optional dialogue to the side if they aren't interested in learning more about characters or lore and just want to speed through.

The older scenes still use the old dialogue system, and they'll slowly be converted as we continue putting out updates.
